WHAT IS CBD?
CBD, short for Cannabidiol (Can-a-bid-i-ol), is a chemical compound from the cannabis plant. It’s a naturally occurring substance that’s used in products like oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), it’s not psychoactive, so DOES NOT cause a high like its counterpart, THC. It comprises up to 40% of the plant and is one of over 60 plus compounds found in cannabis. CBD and THC are the highest concentrations of the plant. Our bodies are made up of an endocannabinoid system and use cannabinoids to maintain healthy cells.
HOW IS OUR CBD OIL MANUFACTURED?
Our Hemp is grown organically in Colorado. At Sacred Leaf we use cold pressed CO2 extraction methods and we refine the best industrial hemp plants to a pure, zero-THC product for the safety of our customers.
IS CBD OIL LEGAL?
CBD Oil comes from industrial hemp and is completely legal to buy in all 50 states of the USA. There is no need for a prescription or medical card to purchase hemp CBD. What we sell is strictly GMO-free, organic, vegan and 100 percent natural with every ingredient extracted from organic hemp within the USA. Our protected plants are all handpicked, sunshade-dried, naturally crushed and processed in watertight vessels with absolutely no risk of contamination.
WHAT IS CBD OIL?
CBD oil is derived from cannabis plants that have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) while having low levels of THC. At Sacred Leaf, our CBD oils always have less than 0% THC. These extracts can then be used in paste form or mixed with other oils such as hemp seed oil, to lower the viscosity of the extract. The cannabidiol (CBD) content of CBD oil varies tremendously since manufacturers use a varying assortment of cannabis plants and preparation techniques. We produce CBD oil with a high concentration of CBD and containing NO 0% THC.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP & MARIJUANA?
We’d like to clear something up. As the two main ingredients in the cannabis plant, it can be easy to confuse CBD and THC. But other than both being called cannabinoids, they are not the same thing. High levels of THC are commonly found in the popular plant but less so in the case of CBD. It makes sense, then, that THC can send you soaring on a high while CBD is reassuringly non-psychoactive. Disappointing to recreational users, perhaps, but brilliant news for the thousands of people looking to benefit from its proposed curative properties without enduring unwanted side effects.
HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CBD? WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE?
For the best shelf life please store in a cool dark area to ensure you don’t lose any potency. Don’t allow to sit in direct sunlight. CBD has a 1-year shelf life if properly stored.
